Did you know that Matagorda Beach is only 1.5 hours away from Downtown Houston?
Matagorda is also home to the most diverse bird population in the country AND is the location that ALL monarch butterflies migrate through during migration season.
Matagorda is also home to…my home. We spend a good portion of our fall and winter down here and I would love to show you around.
There is a LOT of nature to explore here and winter is my favorite time of year down here. It’s quiet, the beaches are pristine, and wildlife is abundant.
With 30 miles of uninhabited beach, you can go for quite a long hike! There are also dunes to explore, estuaries to discover, and if you’re brave, you can kayak over to the island.
BUDGET:
$97/pp per night for lodging (shared rooms)
