January 12 – 14, 2024
Did you know that Matagorda Beach is only 1.5 hours away from Downtown Houston?
Matagorda is also home to the most diverse bird population in the country AND is the location that ALL monarch butterflies migrate through during migration season.
Matagorda is also home to…my home. We spend a good portion of our fall and winter down here and I would love to show you around.
There is a LOT of nature to explore here and winter is my favorite time of year down here. It’s quiet, the beaches are pristine, and wildlife is abundant.
With 30 miles of uninhabited beach, you can go for quite a long hike! There are also dunes to explore, estuaries to discover, and if you’re brave, you can kayak over to the island.
$97/pp per night for lodging (shared rooms)
$45/pp per day for meals/food
There are only 2 restaurants down here open during the winter and meal planning is essential. I will meal plan, buy all the supplies, and we will have family style meals together for dinner. Lunch will be provided daily. Coffee and light breakfast will be provided daily. Snacks for our outings will be provided.
$10/pp for Matagorda Nature Birding Center guided nature walk
$20 – Discounted yoga and breath work on the beach with Mind & Mat Yoga!
FREE – Bonfire and s’mores on the beach!
FREE – local tour and drink at the local townie bar!
Join for a relaxing recharge on the beach with amazing women, relaxation, and beautiful scenery.
